Business Plan

Overview

The Business Plan allows users to manage professional communication through one or multiple phone numbers, enabling both individual and collaborative use cases.
It supports:

  • Shared line: multiple users collaborating in a shared inbox under one phone number.
  • Multiple lines: a single user managing several phone numbers and inboxes within one account.

Each line, shared or individual, includes calls, texts, transcripts, and related data, accessible directly within the Beside app.

The Business Plan is limited to the addition of 5 lines by the Account Owner, and the Account Owner can add up to 14 teammates cumulated across all owned lines.

Subscription

Users may purchase a subscription to access the Business Plan services by clicking the Subscriptions option in the app’s Settings.

The Business Plan subscription automatically renews at the frequency referenced on the subscription page (or, if not designated, monthly) and at the then-current rates.

For detailed information on subscription terms and cancellation methods, please refer to our Terms of Service at: https://beside.com/terms.

Definitions

  • Account Owner: The user who subscribes to the Business Plan and manages all lines (shared or individual) under the plan.
  • Inbox User: Any user (Account Owner or Invited Member) who has access to a Shared Line.
  • Invited Member: A user invited by the Account Owner to join a shared line and collaborate using the shared phone number.
  • Inbox: A phone number and messaging thread created under the Business Plan.
  • Business Plan Data: Messages, call logs, audio recordings, transcripts, and related metadata generated within any Inbox under the Business Plan.

Access and Permissions

  • Shared Line Access: Inbox Users (Account Owner and Invited Members) can place and receive calls, send and receive texts, and access message history using the shared phone number. Multiple Inbox Users may engage in calls or texts concurrently under the same shared phone number. Inbox users can edit inbox-related settings.
  • Multiple Line Access: The Account Owner may create and manage multiple independent Inboxes under the same account. Each Inbox operates separately, with its own number, history, voicemail settings, and configuration. Only the Account Owner has access to these Inboxes and related data.
  • Visibility Limits: Only Inbox Users have access to Shared Line Data. A user’s personal content and content outside the Shared Line are not visible to other Inbox Users.
  • Shared Line Activity:All Inbox User actions are logged under the Shared Line. Interface does not currently support identity-level audit trails within Shared Line.

Account and Line Management

  • User Authentication: Each Inbox User must sign in with their own phone number or Apple ID. Sharing login credentials is not allowed.
  • Account Management: The Account Owner retains full administrative control over all Inboxes and Shared Lines, including inviting or revoking access for Invited Members. The Account Owner is liable for all actions taken under the Business Plan and all Business Plan Data is considered part of the Account Owner’s user account.
  • Line Switching: When switching configurations (e.g., from Shared Line to Multiple Lines or vice versa), access permissions update automatically:
    • Invited Members lose access to Shared Line Data if the plan is switched to Multiple Lines.
    • When switching to a Single Line plan, the Account Owner retains access only to the inbox associated with that plan.
    • Unused subscription time is applied to the new plan, which becomes active at the end of the current billing cycle.

Termination and Data Retention

If the Business Plan subscription is terminated or canceled for any reason:

  • All Inbox Users and Invited Members immediately lose access to the relevant Inboxes.
  • Business Plan Data (including Shared Line and Multiple Line Data) is retained or deleted according to the Interface Privacy Policy located at: https://beside.com/privacy.
  • If an Inbox User or Invited Member leaves the organization or company that initially onboarded them, they will lose access to any shared inbox or distributed line by the Account Owner, but will retain access to their personal items (including private or group chat conversations, voice memos, and Daily Recap content), which may contain company-related information.
